I have had a wonderful career in the community services sector and in the Victorian Public Service; working in human rights, disability services and women’s health. I have looked after kids in care, taught sex education and human relations in schools and with people who have a disability and taught management studies at university.
I have volunteered in palliative care, providing companionship and support to the terminally ill and I have also benefited enormously from my involvement in several voluntary organisations.
All these experiences have been people centered and have equipped me with the skills to be adaptable, think on my feet, speak confidently in public and liaise sensitively with people in this more recent role as a Civil Celebrant.
I embrace diversity in our community and delight in the myriad of ways that people from all backgrounds and walks of life celebrate life, death and everything in between.
